This marketing site does not create user accounts. Analytics event names contain no personal data and never include what you type in a form. If a measurement script is added later, it will be documented on this page before it runs.
When you send the playtest form, your browser tab keeps a temporary marker (session storage, holding only the time of sending, no personal data) so that the confirmation page is counted once. It is deleted as soon as the next page of this site loads, or when you close the tab.
Playtest registration
The playtest form sends us: your email address, your preferred language and, only if you fill them in, your name, Discord username, the games you play and why you are interested. We also store which consents you gave, whether you joined the waiting list or an open registration, the date of registration and an internal selection status that is never published.
Purpose: to select players for test phases and to contact them about playtests and testing sessions.
Consents are separate and never pre-ticked. Playtest communication is required to register, because we cannot invite you without it. General news by email is optional; no newsletter is sent yet, and registering for the playtest does not subscribe you to one.
Your IP address is used for a short time to limit repeated attempts. It is not saved with your registration.
Retention: a registration is kept until the playtest programme ends or until you delete it, whichever comes first.
Deletion: right after you register, the confirmation page shows a personal deletion link, once. Opening it and confirming deletes your registration from our database immediately and permanently. The link carries a random code after the # sign, a part of the address that browsers do not send when they load a page; it reaches our server only when you confirm the deletion. We store only a one-way fingerprint of that code (SHA-256), never the code itself, so we cannot recreate a lost link. If your address was already registered, no new link is issued: the first link, if one was issued, stays valid. This also applies if someone else registered your address before you: the link was shown to them, not to you, and we cannot check who owns an address because we do not send email yet. Registrations recorded before personal deletion links were introduced did not receive one. No other way to request deletion is published yet.
